A stored energy-based control strategy to improve LVRT capability of HRES using PSO & WCA optimized DVR

The article presented here utilizes the particle swarm optimization (PSO) and water cycle algorithm (WCA) based dynamic voltage restorer (DVR) to augment low ride through (LVRT) performance of a hybrid renewable energy system (HRES). Moreover, FACT equipment like is deployed boost quick responsiveness compensation good transient HRES. Due numerous disturbances brought on by WECS' nonlinearity, best tuning PI controller for DVR control investigated match LVRT requirement design incorporates battery storage (BESS) that connected over DC terminals improve compensating capabilities regulating D-Q axis signal source converter gate signals. In comparison alone, suggested technique increases DC-link PCC 44% 4.6 %, respectively. MATLAB simulation results show BESS-enabled PSO performs better in all respect sag makes self-LVRT capable.
